If we move within APS during school year, can my kid stay in the same school/class through the end of the academic - even if the new address is not within the original school boundary? It's not like we are moving to a different county, we will continue to pay Arlington taxes. Is there a process to make this happen? Or it this super strict? Thank you for any tips! This would be his last year in elementary (not an option school). Thank you. |
IIRC, you can stay at the school if you move in the 4th quarter. Before that, I believe you need principal approval to stay. But I can't find where I read that information. |
Not super strict. You just talk with your principal. |
It really depends on your school and their capacity. |
When did you last show proof of residency? I think you only have to show once a year or maybe once every two years. |
Yes this is not a big deal, you can stay. |
Yes |
Thanks for the responses. This flexibility is super helpful. |
