3yo’s preschool is requesting winter gear be sent in as they take walks and this current weather begins to cool. Are scarves a nuisance for the teachers? |
Neckbrace, neckwarmer is where it's at. |
Scarves are a strangulation hazard at that age, OP.
Get a coat with a hood that fits snuggly. It's less dangerous and will protect the neck. |
Hopefully preschools are taking the time to show the children how to put their own items on, and in the correct order. They do this a lot in Montessori. And they can show them how to fold their scarf. put it around their neck, then put one end in the loop. Independence is definitely doable at this age and should be taught to help ease the burden on the teachers. |
No scarves for preschoolers! The hats with a neck warmer are worth trying. |
They are not a nuisance, they are a hazard because they get caught on playground equipment. |
Our preschool doesn't allow scarves. |
Just make sure the jacket zips up and covers the neck. They run around a lot outside anyway. Scarves just seem like a bad idea. |
They are running around, not standing. It's not cold enough here to need a scarf. |
This. Especially tied properly, it can become a noose. Not safe. |
Yes. Balaclavas, neck gaiters etc. |
