I don’t know if you realize that if you drive with your brights on, you are blinding other drivers ahead of you. This applies most especially to the driver’s side view mirror of the cars in front of you. This makes the roads more dangerous for everyone.
Please use just the regular headlights unless you are truly alone on a dark road. |
| Agree, and if your car has automatic brights, shut that option off. Even on a dark road current headlights are more than bright enough. |
| Agree, but just be aware that new cars have brighter standard lights these days and many also have auto high beams that turn themselves off and on. |
| Newer cars have much brighter headlights. Those aren’t the bright lights turned on. |
| Brights? You mean high beams? New cars with halogen lights are so much brighter it really blinds you. I absolutely hate those f’kers. |
You can turn that feature off. Be courteous |
Even without it the lights are just brighter - can’t turn those off. |
What prompted you to post this on a Sunday morning? |
Cut it out with dumb responses |
| My car is like the PP said and just has very bright regular lights. I can’t do anything about it. I feel bad but there it is. |
| I’ll use my high beams when I feel like, mom. myob. |
| I turn my mirrors to reflect back at the car behind me, if their lights are too bright. Works great- they usually back off and someone gets in between them and my car. |
This. My 2022 SUV vehicle has super bright regular lights, nothing I can do. |
Yeah, it's dangerous. When I am driving towards you, I can't see anything. Particularly on small back roads with barely enough space for two cars, I am not missing you by much. |
This, my 2020 has LED lights that are super bright. That's just how they are. Deal with it. |
