Party ideas for 3 year old

Anonymous
-Party favor ideas for this age group?
-Outside party ideas (it will probably be cold )
-Would it be overboard for a 3 year old's party to get one of those singing Disney princess impersonators? Thinking of doing a "Frozen" theme since it will be winter...

Frozen might be a little too on the nose, OP.

Party favors -- play dough, finger paint or crayons, candy or small pack of goldfish or cookies.

Maybe a small ornament if it will be before Christmas.

Is there anyway you could do an inside party? Outside parties in winter are a bit tough. But if there's snow then have some snowman building supplies, and hot cocoa or cider.

I'd pick the theme based on what your Toddler likes, not necessarily the season... does she like Frozen?

We have already gotten invites for indoor parties this winter. Just do it inside.

Outside is fine imo. They run around a lot at age 3. But I would do a theme based on your kid's interest. If it's Frozen, then go for it. The other kids may not know Frozen at that age, given how many people around here do limited screen time. Even if they do, they probably won't care.. Whatever makes birthday girl happy is perfect.

+1. My three year old has no clue what Frozen is but loves parties. Make sure there are lots of physical activities and warm food/drinks. Keep it short. Otherwise chilled parents are going to leave before the cake.

Outside is fine! Three year olds are going to be at playgrounds regardless of the weather. We went to quite a few park parties last winter for 2 and 3 year olds and they were all fun. One was even during a legit ice storm and people showed up. That one was over pretty quickly but people still came.

We're going to have a 3rd birthday party for my DD in January. It will be outside. I'm going to put up a small tent and have a heater. Also doing a hot chocolate bar and s'mores.

We are doing outside next weekend. No heater, it’s supposed to be 60. January and February can be tough but I take my kid outside every day and I think most parents would say the same. But I think the weather means keep the party shorter and don’t expect everyone to stay the whole time. Hot cocoa, coffee, hot cider

Any suggestions for physical activities for the kids?

This is what I want to do! What kind of heater are you using?

We did an outside party last year in Feb and an outside party in August. For 3, I'd say keep it SIMPLE. We did both of those parties at a playground. For one we had a pinatata filled with soft balls. for the other we just did playground+muffins. I just went to one that was playground+cupcakes. 3 YOs don't need anything more.
