I feel so lucky that I do! And it really was just luck that we found each other. |
Yes! So much do that we made her Godmother to our second child. She is family. |
Yes! We’ve been together for almost three years and she’s a true gift. I feel so lucky! |
Yep. |
We did until we didn't. First few years were great. Ended the relationship in a not so great way. |
Yes. Nannies are not given enough credit. There should be an international nanny day. We could barely afford childcare when my kids were babies and I was starting my career as a contractor. I was actually losing money by working. We are better now but I wish I could have offered them more back then. We remained close to one of our nannies. |
Yes, I count them among my most treasured and precious friends. We have had two, three years each, both 30-40 something mothers from Latin America. Just the hardest working, most loving and honest women I have ever met. My kids adore them, even though they are more firm than I am!! |

Interesting. Do you think you took your nanny for granted? Do you think she changed? |
There's a whole week in Sept- National Nanny Recognition Week ![]() |
Yep. It's been 6 years since she took care of our kids, but we still talk regularly. She's a gem. |
Yep. Very lucky. |
Jealous. We could not afford a nanny, but you all make it sound very nice. We had no family support either, it was lonely and hard. I imagine having a good nanny would have helped with that. |
Nannies do help so much. She’s also another person to love your child and remember all the sweet, funny, great moments. Our nanny is still very much in our kids lives although she moved on to her next job when my youngest started elementary school. |
I have a great relationship with my current employers, and they want this to continue for years. The position is still new enough with a special needs child that I’m still in the process of winning the child over without sacrificing boundaries and rules. |
