What's the safest way to do this? DH is looking at the Burley Bike Trailer. Anybody have experience with those?
Yes, and we and DD love it! After much research, we ended up with a Burley. It's has a very smooth ride, is fairly lightweight to the person pulling it and has one of the best safety records. It actually seats two and can also be used as a three-wheeled stroller, though we don't use it that way much. Perhaps when we have a second child we will. We took it to the beach last fall and rode every day. Although it does take up some space, it folds up fairly well for transporting. Also, I'm sure you know, but just in case, the general guideline is to not take babies on bike rides until close to 12 months to give their neck muscles ample time to stregthen for such a ride.

The burley's great. Wait until the baby is over one.
