| Any good ideas for a simple breakfast after a heavy holiday meal (celebrating late this year, hence the question)? Extended family is very Pioneer Woman meat and potatoes, but I think after a heavy holiday meal and pie/ice cream we will probably not want a cheesy egg sausage breakfast casserole. I was thinking a spread of croissants, fruit, what else? |

Bagels and cream cheese.
Smoothie ingredients and a blender. |
| Fruit, asparagus, herb frittata, and a special pastry for those still in the mood to indulge. Plus leftover pie |
| I enjoy cereal. |
| Quiche, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels. |

You know that your family is a meat and potatoes type but assume they won't want a hearty breakfast on a completely different day than another big meal?
Sounds like you're projecting your wants on them. Most people still get hungry 12+ hours after their last meal no matter how big it was. |

Leftover pie and coffee. Is there really any other possible answer?
|
Agreed. |
Yep. Nothing better than leftover apple pie for breakfast. |
|
A bagel bar with smoked salmon, thinly sliced onions, cream cheese and jelly.
Oatmeal bar. But probably a breakfast will be great. I think skinny people way overestimate the long term effects of a big meal. People who are good at not eating spend as much time thinking/talking/being excited about the “recovery” from Thanksgiving as people who eat too much think/talk/are excited about the big meal. |
Leftover apple pie drizzled very lightly with a homemade salted caramel sauce (sugar, cream, salted butter). |

| I literally didn't know there was an option for Friday breakfast other than pumpkin pie. |
| Bagels, cream cheese, fruit, hard boiled eggs. I need some protein in the AM, but I don't want to cook a big production the day after Thanksgiving. |
Guys, I don’t foresee there being enough pie leftover for breakfast.
