| Would it count as demonstrated interest to apply for more things that the university offers, so even if they're rejected for the additional scholarships/programs, they have better consideration for the school as a whole? |

Our child's target school put her on the wait list and then rejected her. We all think it was because she didn't apply to the honors college when stats should have had her there. But it could be they didn't like her essay, or were not looking to take another full-pay white kid from Montgomery County or because the admissions officer had indigestion that day.
She is a happy freshman now, is in absolutely the right place for her, even though I still think nasty thoughts about the school that rejected her every time anyone mentions them or one of their teams shows up on TV... Toughest part of this entire thing is the not knowing/never knowing. |
