I love the tomboyish look of these oxfords: https://www.madewell.com/the-frances-oxford-99105124197.html?source=googlePLA&noPopUp=true&srcCode=Paid_Search%7CShopping_NonBrand_SSC%7CGoogle%7CMWGGBS00002_99105124197_13612185313_126900886987_295613137580_m__online__9061283&gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=Cj0KCQiAy4eNBhCaARIsAFDVtI2T9LrGwLbOPViC-zsnFlmGOXIKRPnGk0A_Z7qi0CUz4h8JZ4Ka2ZoaAnx-EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
But Madewell doesn’t have them in my size. I am looking for something very close—flat sole, slim cut, full-grain leather—that doesn’t cost $500. Oh, and in size 11. Any ideas? Everything else looks too clunky (Docs) or too old-ladyish. |
At size 11, I would just head straight to the mens section at Nordstrom Rack. That’s around a men’s 9. I’m a size 7 in mens shoes and have a couple pairs of Cole Haans I love. |

| I like those. You might check ecco and Clark, both of which typically have stuff in that vibe. |

Something like

This is a good suggestion. |

Only two types of women can pull these off:
- lesbians, who dress more masculine - super hot, young, tall model types - with a face full of makeup Not the average middle aged woman. |
Wow that's a super helpful observation! |
Lol, OP here and I assumed I’d get a few responses like that one. Maybe it’s because I used to be a super-hot young tall type (but am now just a tall, middle-aged lady) but I think I could pull them off. |
It is. Men’s shoes are usually better quality, as well. |
Clark's has some excellent styles in 11. |
| Repetto has Oxford like this but they are 400$. I think these are not a great look for most women. |
