Pre-cooked turkey

Anonymous
Help! We got a pre-cooked turkey for the first time this year and can't figure out the cooking instructions. The instructions say to remove the plastic around the turkey and stuff it with herbs. But it's frozen solid - we can't open the turkey at all. And there's a plastic bag inside, presumably with the gibbets, which we can't remove either. Any ideas?

You were supposed to defrost it earlier this week. Depending on the size you can submerge in cold water and see if that will work for today. Otherwise go buy a rotisserie chicken

Drop everything and put that puppy in a tub of water stat. Since it’s pre-cooked, you only need to let it thaw enough to get the plastic and giblets out. Change the water every half hour and you’ll be OK. Happy Thanksgiving!

Huh, wonder if Balducci's accidentally sent a bunch of people home with frozen, pre-cooked turkeys.

If a precooked turkey is too tough, I would stick to nuggets.

They sell pre-cooked and then frozen turkeys?
