| Please help me doctor the store bought mashed potatoes. What should I add and in what quantity to make them taste good? |
|
A few tablespoons of sour cream
Salt to taste (truffle salt?) Sprinkle with fresh chives and / or bacon bits |
| I add in cream cheese (the whipped kind bc it easier to mix) - chive flavored whipped cream cheese is my go-to. |
| Buy mashed potatoes from Wegmans and you won’t have to do anything to them. |
| Usually they are pretty damn good on their own. I'd taste them before you do anything |
| I heat up some cream and butter and then heat ‘em up and mix it in. |
This, plus some seasoning. Salt, pepper, seasoned salt, etc. |
| Nothing. They probably already have way too much butter and salt already |
All of this. But make sure you taste for seasoning. |
| Horseradish |
| What's the problem with them? |
Boursin would also be an easy add. I think it would melt easy. |
| Mashed potatoes are the easiest thing on the menu to make. Peel, boil, mash. Toss and make new. |
“Too much butter” is like “too much money.” Rarely found in nature. |
They don’t want to do that. Maybe they have arthritis. Maybe their stove is on the fritz. |
