hello,
My kids asked for an Xbox for Xmas. Could you please tell me the basics about it? What/how do you use it. Kids already have a Nintendo Switch. thanks! |
| You plug it into a tv and a network, wifi or wired. You can play games, watch movies, stream tv stuff etc. Display quality is very good if you have a decent tv. There are many games and apps available. I’m guessing the kids want it for games like cod and gta though. You can’t play those on Nintendo. |
My son is a big gamer so I asked him for you. He says X-Box is for people who want to play PC games (IOW titles that come out for PC almost always come out for XBox, too) without building an expensive computer. |
| Another novice question- are these the things that are always sold out? Can you just buy it on Amazon or Best Buy? |
| We got Xbox for my DD who enjoyed her Nintendo switch…but she hardly plays it. The Xbox required way more parental help setting it up & getting it connected. We ran into lots of technical issues. My husband was annoyed lol. We have the S series, and subscribe to game pass. |
The newest models are always sold out, especially before Christmas. For your sanity, I would seriously just get the HotStock app and pay the five bucks for premium notification. Make sure you uncheck notifications from any store your not familiar with, those places are practically scalpers. |
