I need a new cooktop. I am a die-hard gas cooking zealot. But lately I have been getting more frustrated at the difficulty of cleaning my gas cooktop, plus I like the sleek look of induction. Does it have the precision that it promises? And can it get to really high heat?
We had planned to get a gas stove when we redid our kitchen....but I remembered what a pain it was to clean the grate and was concerned about safety with our kids cooking. We went with induction and are obsessed. Water boiled in seconds and it does indeed get to very heat. It's fabulous and so easy to clean.
Induction is better for the environment, too, as I understand it. Just remember that your cookware needs to be compatible.
I would get it in a heartbeat but they don't come in white or an air fryer.
Absolutely love our induction range. Like you, we were gas people. 100% converts now. Super responsive temps, heats really quickly, incredibly easy cleanup, sleek look, better for the environment, safer with kids.
