| Half our family wants pumpkin pie, the other half sweet potato. I want to make both this year, put them head to head and go into future years not having to argue this each year. (And hoping that sweet potato wins!) What recipe should I use for each? |
| Libby's for pumpkin. |
Gross. Just say no to evaporated milk. |
| We have pumpkin pie with dessert and sweet potatoe pie with dinner. Problem solved, everyone gets what that want |
| Ohhh yes please! My DD asked for sweet potato pie. I’ve never made in my life (and I’m an accomplished baker.) |

Patti Labelles sweet potato pie is high recommend. She uses evaporated milk too.

| I use the Joy if Cooking's pumpkin pie recipe, with real cream. It is a hit every year and I've honestly never had one I like better. (I also make the crust from scratch with butter.) |

| The Costco pumpkin pie is huge and delicious. I’ll never go back to making one. |
| Why just one? It’s Thanksgiving - the day when you’re allowed a ton of food. Live a little. |
What’s your recipe? |

https://images.app.goo.gl/aA5mRgidzfHvZdL18 Silver Palate's Pumpkin pie, edged with pecans and with a pecan “flower” in the middle. Have never liked any other pumpkin pie, but the lightness of this one (all that cream) and the addition of cardamom and pecans were game-changers for me. |
