I have six adults and one kid for Thanksgiving. I'm doing my planning today. Tell me if this menu sounds good and any tips to make it better/easier. Also want suggestions for easy stuff to have on the table as snacks/apps before meal is served -- but it's gotta be easy!
Menu plus where it's taking up space: Turkey - oven Honey baked Ham - served cold Green beans - stovetop Gravy - make ahead and warmed in Instapot Mashed potatoes - stovetop Cranberry sauce - make ahead Mac and cheese - stovetop Stuffing - to go in oven when turkey comes out Dessert - Cheesecake with cranberry topping - make ahead Pumpkin pie - to be brought by guest So I'll have a turkey in the oven, gravy warm in the Instapot, stuffing ready to go in the oven when turkey comes out, and on the stovetop I will have green beans, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Ham and cranberry sauce get pulled from the fridge. |
| Sounds good to me. Rolls? |
| Sounds good. For snacks I do cheese & crackers and/or veggie platter/hummus. Has to be simple and no-cook because so much is going on in the kitchen. |

If you want to consider serving the ham warm, a crockpot works great for this. It does not even have to fit. You can just put foil over the top. Hardest part is getting it out of the crock pot : )
