I had a huge craving for New England clam chowder, so I googled recipes. This one is great + super easy.
- 3 cups half and half milk -1 and one half cups of water with one teaspoon of cornstarch stirred in -3 tablespoons of butter -4 strips of crumbled bacon -2 cans of clams -1 can potatoes (slice them into small pieces) -1 cup of corn -1/4 cup sliced celery -salt + pepper + crab spices -heat it up + you have the best New England clam chowder ever! |

I tried this recently and really like it. I got the idea from watching Iranian and Lebanon street food on youtube. I'm not sure what it is called but they say it's popular there.
Cook your lentils -Use chicken or beef broth adds more taste to it. More diluted is better because the additional stuff you put in it will soak up some of the water. Add some chopped spinach, white onions, carrots, and rice and broken pieces of spaghetti. I also added some ground beef. You can use chicken if you prefer. Spices: Salt, a bit of curry, paprika, cumin, turmeric, black pepper, parsley or oregano. This is my standard spices for most of the things I cook, more or less of one spices or another. Add hot chili pepper if you want it spicy. |
