tips for buying caps tickets?

DS wants Caps tickets for Christmas. I looked online a bit and have gathered that the box office availability is very low but the prices are way better than the Ticketmaster resale prices. Is this accurate? does the same go for StubHub, vividseats, etc? do the prices tend to go down closer to game day? any other tips? thanks!

| The games are generally sold out from the team, so you are looking at the secondary market. Ticketmaster and StubHub are your options. |

They have, I think, 2 game holiday packs available now. These tend to be a pretty good deal. And though the seats may not be the absolute best, the fact is that almost anywhere in Verizon Center (or whatever it is called now) is good viewing. I have seats in the 100s now but spent plenty of time in the 400s too and you can see the game with no problems there.
And this year, the packs come with Ovi Holiday Nesting boxes. LOL. The other thing you can try is buying VERY last minute. You can get great prices on seats, if you can find them to your liking (location, 2 seats together, etc.) |
