Difficulty Getting Estimate

Our vehicle has some front end damage and we of course want to get it fixed. We’d like to know how much it will cost before doing so, but shops we have gone to say they “don’t do estimates”. I don’t know that the damage is worth going through insurance to fix. Is getting an estimate not a thing?

Where are you located? Is the car drivable?

Where are you located? Is the car drivable?

The car is drivable. AAA zip tied the bumper and didn’t need to tow it. It is in PA. We are in NoVA.

Plenty of places in NoVa that give estimates, no idea about PA

All I got was, "We don't do estimates". I was assuming they don't want to take the time to look and really examine it without knowing for sure we'll go through with repairs. I assume along the lines of, "We wouldn't know how much damage until we get in there and start taking things apart". I seem to remember her in NoVA initially getting the same response for another car until the body shop knew we were going through the insurance company.

Take it to Jacks auto body, I am sure he’ll give you an estimate
