Other strong schools for rolling admissions since Pitt is so hot now?

What other schools are good options for rolling admissions within 5 hours of the DMV since Pitt is so strong now? I have a junior and Pitt is one school she plans to apply to next year but wondering what other schools are similar. Thanks.

I don’t know about that. Very different philosophies on merit vs need-based aid. One urban and progressive, the other rural with a heavy Greek presence. Great for different kinds of students.

I don’t know about that. Very different philosophies on merit vs need-based aid. One urban and progressive, the other rural with a heavy Greek presence. Great for different kinds of students.

Pitt initially became what we think of as Pitt because of it's generous merit aid. Alabama seems to be trying to attract OOS students who otherwise would never consider it based on that same strategy.

Disagree. Pitt has become PITT because it is located in a fun, urban city that has a lot to offer. Also, proximity to major urban areas like Philadelphia, NY and DC. Auburn is in the middle of nowhere. That will always be a big drawback to many people.

Disagree. Pitt has become PITT because it is located in a fun, urban city that has a lot to offer. Also, proximity to major urban areas like Philadelphia, NY and DC. Auburn is in the middle of nowhere. That will always be a big drawback to many people.

Pitt became Pitt because it was a good enough school that started heavily awarding merit aid
