Does anyone else have this problem with whole foods online ordering?

I can't tell you how many times it has happened to me that I swear I put something in my cart and then place my order, only to have at least one (sometimes more) item not show up in my delivery, with no mention of it being out of stock or anything.
Then when I go to check my receipt, it's not there, as of I didn't order it.

It's not all the time, but it happens too often to think it's just a fluke. But maybe I'm crazy, so I'm curious if anyone else has had this problem.

So, now I'm trying to figure out what to make for dinner instead...

Are you ordering via their website or app? I have all sorts of nutty issues happen when the app has an outstanding update.

Can I ask what WF you use?

When I was in DC, my local whole Foods was ABYSMAL. I moved to DC in 2020, and moved out a couple of months ago. I was just thinking yesterday how amazing it is that all my orders have been arriving with EVERY SINGLE ITEM in the bag! It seems like a miracle! Before I moved to DC, I had no issue, then in DC, EVERY SINGLE ORDER had multiple items totally messed up. I've moved now to a new city, and once again- zero problems.

I got really sick of having to contact Amazon every time they messed up an order- I was afraid they would think I was lying and would ban me or something. But the order substitutions were so crazy- one time I ordered like paprika and they gave me dried mint? I ordered frozen berries and they sent me a bag of mango? It was very strange. I am not sure what was going on with the DC WF but it is crazy how bad the service quality is. Mind boggling. And plenty of times they would just cancel the order and refuse to deliver!

Yes this happens a lot. I finally figured out that they sort of grey out the items that are unavailable right before you click to elect a delivery time. But who notices that ? and then yes it turns into a total mindf$&@ when you get your order.

Stop gaslighting us Whole Foods! It is okay to say some item is out of stock, I won’t get offended and start shopping at lidl.

We used our computer to order Whole Foods delivery via Amazon for more than a year during the pandemic, and never had this problem. When something was out of stock, it was always labeled as such - and at one point in 2020, lots of things were out of stock. We don't use the app and our closest WF is the one on River Road.

You just have to double check everything in your cart right before you check out.

Your delivery issues were at the height of the pandemic, when everyone had delivery issues, regardless of grocer. We were not in DC in 2020, and had issues, as had everyone else we know.

OP here. Hmmm, good to know. I'll try to pay more attention to that screen. I also appreciate the other PPs note about differences between the app and the website. This morning I used the app, so maybe that was a factor.

Glad to know it's not just me

No, I said I moved a couple months ago. I was there for 2 years. It was a mess.
