I have about 15 lbs of baby weight left to lose, and I keep being thwarted by insane carb cravings that lead to stealing the kids' Halloween candy (hello five fun-size Snickers that I don't even love last night). I'm hoping that by being more mindful of carbs, I'll stop the candy binges in time to have a more healthy relationship with treats before the holidays.
Wish me luck! |
South Beach is still a thing? |
I would throw away the candy. |
Welcome to 2003! |
OP here - I know it's from 2003, but that's the last time I really tried to diet, and it worked then ![]() Any reason I shouldn't expect it to work, aside from no longer being "in"? |
Carbs are not the enemy. Look at eating a more balanced diet but make sure you are getting enough protein. |
Fad diets are not sustainable. |
Noom changed my life. 2 years ago I would have eaten 10 snickers which I dont like at all, but I would not do that today. |
Why is it that people who start fad diets *have* to talk about it? |
"The best way to stop craving a food is to restrict it from your diet," said no one, ever.
You'll just rebound, gain back the 15 pounds + 5 extra, and be obsessed with junk food in the long run. |
Good luck, OP! |
Worked for me back then, too, at the rec of my dr. Good luck! |
How’s it going, OP?
I love this diet. It’s not a fad, it’s a balance of nutrient dense Whole Foods and healthy fats. It’s basic good nutrition. I have no idea why it faded. |
People here are so mean. This is a forum for discussing diet and exercise. OP just wants to discuss those very things!
Hope it's going well for you, OP! |
People have to come poop on others, it’s a requirement. Every kind of diet that restricts anything is the worst, most restrictive thing ever. Bonus points for when the poopers then list all their dietary restrictions, which are of course sensible and not at all a fad and can’t really be called “restrictions” anyway. Good luck, OP. Make it a permanent change! |
