Hoco bus drivers call out sick today

Does anyone know how many drivers called out today? Hoco students were told last night to make alternate plans for school today. Is it going to happen all week?

Our elementary school had about 5 routes in the morning that did not have drivers (one of which was a double-route, where the driver picked up one route, dropped them off and then ran the second route). By the afternoon, they had cut that number down to 3 routes that did not have drivers.

That was one school out of the 77 schools in the system.

That's the only information I have. I do know several families at other HCPSS schools that had transportation problems (about 4 families across the county), but I have no idea how many bus drivers were affecting those schools/routes.

Our elementary school also had a route canceled. Like you, I do not know the extent beyond my own circumstances.

Responding back. Tuesday, we had no uncovered routes at our school. Likewise, I have had radio silence on social media from those other families about bus outages. Looks like things returned to normal (or close to normal) today.
