Oh my! I think if I make the dough in advance, it shouldn't be too labor intensive. I thought about hand pies but that would have been way too labor intensive for a day when I'm making several desserts. This is a nice compromise. |
Oh I hope you like it! Just fyi I have always made more crust than the recipe calls for and it's nice to never have to worry about getting the bottom crust to go over the sides. |

We do slab pies a lot. They are easy and go fast at events. I have also done a hard icing to make them like a fancy pop-tart. |
