| Kind of piggybacking on a previous post about ED to targets rather than reaches. Does it seem like more kids did ED to targets or schools where they could multiple EA? Did many kids apply SCEA where you can't apply EA/ED anywhere else except state schools? Seems like the emphasis has been on applying to many schools early. Haven't heard much about SCEA this year. |
| Nope no one applied. All the scare mongering has left your kid the sole candidate, who will now be admitted. See how that works. Congrats! |
Awesome, thanks! Excellent news. |
| SCEA to Princeton |
| SCEA to Yale |
| SCEA to Stanford. Applied EA to 4 different state schools as well. RD coming at 4-6 additional schools in Jan. |
Smart to add 4 states. Good luck! |
| What's SCEA? |
| Single choice early action. You cannot apply other early action or early decision (maybe except early action at public school). |
Yes, public EAs and rolling admissions only. |
| DC really wanted to apply to some hard target ED schools but couldn't commit financially. Applied to a state and Yale EA. |
| duh why is that even a question? |
|
OMG, there is another admissions category?
Parent of a junior just getting the lay of the land. So there is ED1, ED2, EA, RD and now SCEA? Am I missing anything else? |
Some schools have EA1 and EA2 |
Ok, I've heard of ED2. There's an EA2, too? |
