Drinking at school function?

| Our elementary school had a little Harvest Festival this weekend. I was surprised to see one of the moms with a corkcicle cup of wine while manning one of the booths. Is this a thing? |

| I volunteered for years at my kids’ school events and never did this but I don’t care what other people are doing if they’re not driving. |

| It's fairly common you probably just never noticed. If your child plays any kind of sport it's also very common, too. They're not drinking coffee. |

| At an ES PTA event pre-covid, was a newbie volunteer when another volunteer offered me a glass of wine. I was to nervous to say yes (no alcohol allowed in public schools in our district), and was never allowed to volunteer again (all positions were full). |

| I've never seen it at a school sponsored event where kids were present. But non school sponsored events, definitely. And evening events, definitely. |
