Is age irrelevant to men if the woman looks good?

Depends where they're picking up women. If on dating apps they will filter older women out and often times will set preferences for women to only to be younger than them or no older that their exact age. My favorite are 35 year old plus guys saying they won't date over 29.

It's interesting because the 20 somethings I know would date a woman in their 40's who looks good. At the same time they think guys like Tom Brady are the GOAT for his age. Personally I think the 20 something women of today work hard (plastic surgery, extensions, brow and eyelash fillers, makeup, IG, etc) to look much older than the 20 something women I knew back in the 90's.

Man here. Men looking to settle down are aware of how it's more difficult to have kids as the woman gets older, so age is certainly a factor.

Not irrelevant but not the most important factor either. Just one more element in the mix.

I will admit that my filters go up to my exact age but not older.

Depends what you are looking for. Casual dating, doesn't matter.

Long term relationship, yes it can matter.
