I tried using Goya Chipotle Peppers in Adobe Sauce according to one recipe and it was fire alarm hot & nearly inedible for us but nice flavors if I could dial the heat way down.

I have recently tried two recipes that call themselves exactly this, And both called for the adobo sauce, but not the peppers themselves. Are you sure you followed the recipe right?
