The way sports are handled in MCPS needs a careful examination.
The person responsible for these football assaults is the Athletic Director. She or he needs to ensure that children are not left unsupervised at any point in the locker room.

My student was an athlete last year and I was shocked at how lax the rules were for coaches to supervise students and other things like contacting students directly. All the athletic directors seem to do is make sure your kid didn't take a sick day and then try to play in the game. They are punitive to kids but do not supervise coaches at all.

You are omitting that the police were immediately called and interviewed the children before they were allowed to leave. The police found no evidence that a sexual assault occurred. If you have evidence it did, you should contact the police immediately.

There are approximately 100 students on a football team. If you believe the police did a thorough job of investigating the alleged crime you are a moron. And then the principal sent an email demanding evidence be destroyed. Because.. there was no evidence, right?
