Should I ask for an air fryer for Christmas?

Help me decide... do you love yours? Is it meh? Will someone trying to lose a little weight be totally derailed by it? What are your favorite recipes?

I have an instant pot and am considering the air frying attachment.

I absolutely love ours. We don’t make recipes per se. We use it for frozen foods and air frying vegetables

We have an air fryer toaster oven and love it. When I replace our range, I'll get it with the air fry feature.

I suggest a convection counter top oven instead. Far more versatile. I never used my air fryer, and I gave it away.

I love my Wolf counter top oven. Probably my favorite kitchen purchase ever. Breville also gets good reviews, and can be had for half the price.

I use my air fryer 1-2 times a day on average. This week I used it to make or prepare:

-Frozen vegetarian chicken tenders
-Tofu cubes
-Empanadas from scratch
-Potatoes roasted
-Apple slices
-Tempeh strips

My instant pot came with a lid for air frying and I never use it. It’s just a little convection oven. I have a big convection oven.

This!! Op, just buy the family an air fryer.

Ask for a cashmere scarf, or great lotion, or a spa day -SOMETHING FOR YOU!!!

I love mine so much. So much faster and better than the over for fries, tenders, etc.

I put chicken thighs in there and they are amazing and cook in half the time they would in the oven.

I disagree, an air fryer is a great gift from a MIL, or mom who insists on getting you something and if you don't get very specific, you get an expensive and ugly scarf and smelly lotion

My extended family always teases me because my wish list is pretty much 75% cooking or house related. But honestly, these are the areas where I spend most of my time. I'd much rather have a new wet vaccuum that saves me 10 minutes each time my toddler dumps his food on the floor 3 times a day every day. This year I have new sheet pans and oven mitts on the list, because my 10 year old ones are nasty/ineffectual. What am I going to do with a cashmere scarf? I have scarves. Get me the useful stuff.

A lot of people do not like to waste money. So they hold off buying things the might want and ask for them for Christmas. While I despise cooking, I still like getting kitchen gadgets for Christmas if they are designed to make coooking easier.

That is one completely twisted logic.
