Stocking stuffers for 14yo girl while traveling.

Anonymous
We will be at the beach on Christmas and I’d like to have a stocking for DD 14 while we are there. We will be traveling by plane so it needs to be items that travel well. I hate the idea of lugging gifts back and forth on our trip, but I know she’d be disappointed if there was nothing on Christmas Day. We’ve always done Christmas at home. She already has AirPods. All ideas welcome.

It seems to me you are looking for fun/relatively small and received good ideas above - two additional ideas below:

earrings (which can span a wide range from nice to festive depending on how much you want to spend)
socks with a pets face on them

Chapstick

Bathbomb

Hair ties

Socks (regular or fuzzy)

Wet/dry brush

Beachy things would be nice, too. In addition to the sunglasses, a turkish towel, or a nice paperback.

Candy is good for stockings, too.

If this is supposed to be her Christmas present, I think I'd do some nice jewelry if you think she'd appreciate it; and maybe a coupon or gift certificate to some special event she'd love, like theater tickets, or a certificate to take a class she'd like (pottery or jewelrymakong or rock climbing, whatever)

Also --

Threadwallet lanyard and coordinating wallet

Apple watch? Fitbit?

We always include money soap in the stocking (money is inside the soap, usually $1, but once one of the kids got a $20). They never wait to use the soap, always cut it open

Funny bandaid (last year one got bacon badaids and the other Shakespeare's insult bandaids)

Scratch off lottery ticket

Scratch off lottery ticket
Makeup from Glossier (it’s lighter and teen appropriate)
A book (does she like manga? lots of my high school students do, but if not check the BookTok table at B&N for more books that are popular right now because of TikTok)
Martha Calvo necklace
New iPhone case
Sunglasses, I think Sojos on Amazon has tons of cute options
Perfume or body spray if she’s into that
Face mask (not Covid mask, like the kind you apply at night for skin)
This Revlon volcano rock roller that absorbs oil from your face, it’s great for when your face gets gross wearing a mask all day at school
Gold initial necklace - this one is very popular https://www.amazon.com/Trendsmax-Initial-Pendant-Necklace-Stainless/dp/B07NNFP7JW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=3R7M2TGX02WA9&keywords=gold+initial+necklace&qid=1636020479&sprefix=gold+initi%2Caps%2C246&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFNQzJES1paNDlMTFImZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA2MTIwOTgxVktFRUMxNVFVQ01TJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA0MTM3NjMxTzlIRk9ETTU3TEZFJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfcGhvbmVfc2VhcmNoX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

This necklace which is the year she was born, also popular: https://www.amazon.com/Birthday-Necklace-Stainless-Memorable-Anniversary/dp/B0875XVLM1/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=1X9V2R4T0FN55&keywords=year+necklace&qid=1636020514&qsid=136-5202520-2204957&sprefix=year+%2Caps%2C57&sr=8-4&sres=B087PJCXVW%2CB0875XVLM1%2CB08GK8FJYD%2CB09KRRD7H4%2CB07STRWCZZ%2CB087C4MKTP%2CB06XGH9XY6%2CB08LV7SLW9%2CB06XGW65D5%2CB08GP77K4M%2CB06XGW3WHV%2CB099RYPL4F%2CB07NSGNYWR%2CB08N4SS8BY%2CB07TCH36B7%2CB06XGSYSB9%2CB06XGVBMW8%2CB08VFJ7HVG%2CB06XGSY78P%2CB08CVR91GN&srpt=NECKLACE

That list is kinda weird. The disposable camera is a good idea because the pictures they take have a very 90s/2000s look that the kids like (Y2K aesthetic is what’s in right now) but I don’t know any teenage girl who cares anything about Friends for there to be multiple suggestions for Friends related merch on that list. It has a few good suggestions but is otherwise very older millennial interests, not Gen Z.

Remember that if you’re flying and not checking a bag, liquids must be pulled and put in a clear plastic bag. So if you’re only doing carry on, don’t include the perfumes and other liquid items posted above.

They rarely enforce this.
