| My son and I are spending Thanksgiving weekend in Pittsburgh this year. We don't have family or friends there, we just want to explore the city and we don't have any compelling reason to stay where we are. I'm not sure what to do for Thanksgiving dinner though. We're vegetarian and I'm open to eating out, but I'm not finding any restaurants that look like they're used to catering to vegetarians, and I'm not sure I want to spend $60/pp (or whatever) on Thanksgiving sides, although I won't rule it out. We have an AirBnb, but I'd rather not do a ton of elaborate cooking. Was thinking about just picking up some pierogi and soup the day before and having that. Anyone have a better idea? |
| Last year the Zenith did a take out vegan thanksgiving. Whole Foods also does one, I think. What part of town are you staying in? |
Oh, that's good to know! We're in Mt. Washington but I'm willing to drive. |
Also check out Apteka and B52 - not sure about their take out options for the holiday but they are both very good…and I’m not even vegan! |
Second on Apteka. I'm not even vegetarian but always make a stop when I'm in PGH. |
