Soo, was placing my Wegmans order like any other week, and lo and behold I have all these discounts applied, free delivery, and the "powered by instacart" logo is GONE.
Went to check at Costco, same thing. ??? |

I see now the app on my phone through which shoppers send messages still show as instacart.
I guess they moved the interface to the background. A little weird, but...ok? |

OP here, well, all of the instacart logos in my online account are gone.
The interface layout of both online stores in which I use instacart, one being costco and one being Wegmans, are now new. The instacart logos are missing, and there are other differences. However, when I received a text from the shopper, the links that they send to ask you to approve changes for example, still shows instacart. I believe they have moved the "powered by instacart" feature into the background of the interface. |

OP here- part of the issue is probably that when I use instacart, I don't first login to instacart.
This is because Wegmans messed up my original sign up, which was generated automatically from within my Wegmans (pre instacart) account. That login was permanently linked to my Wegmans account and I could not access instacart directly first. Costco did a similar thing. I already had a Costco membership and when they offered sameday, they linked to me to a unique instacart login again associated with JUST costco.com. I tried many times to get instacart to wed the two instacart accounts into one, but that never happened. This probably explains why my experience is different. |

Looks like there is a promotion going in with Wegmans. There is a new tab within the Wegmans account that says "Instacart Express", and that Ive been given a free 6 months, with free delivery over $35, etc etc. I never got any email about this or other notification from either Wegmans OR instacart. Its also the only mention of Instacart within my account.
My Costco account announces "New and Improved Same Day Website". I don't see any promotion, but I do see the total absence of "powered by Instacart" that has been there since 2020. So, since both sites have somehow revamped, all since I used BOTH sites last week, I suspect their relationship with Instacart has changed into another form. Perhaps instacart is offering more back end support and not supplying interface support directly from the store sites anymore. Fortunately, all my prior purchases and etc are still listed. |
