Eleanor Roosevelt High School and LGBTQ students

DC identifies as bi (likely gay) and is applying to the science and tech program. Does anyone have any insight as to what the school environment is like for queer students? They are coming from a small, progressive private and are applying to a few different independent schools as well, but their top choice is Roosevelt if they can get in. TIA!

I know this is PGC, but there’s NO ONE on here that has kids at ERHS?

I do not have a kid there, but I know several gay and/or bi kids there snd I have not heard of any issues.

I also know several LBGTQ couples with kids there who have never said anything bad about the school or admin.

My kids go there. As far as I know the students in the science and tech program are extremely tolerant of all LBGtQA+ people.

NP here. I also have kids at ERHS Sci Tech. They are straight and have lots of LGBTQ classmates whom they consider friends. I haven't heard about any problems.

Hey, my kid graduated from here a couple years ago, and there were plenty of out and proud and much loved students.
