Turkey Amount

First time hosting a large holiday. We will have 20 adults and 7 kids (8,7,5,3,3,2,2). How much turkey would you prepare? 2 15 pound turkeys?

One 20 pound turkey.

I think you need 2 fifteen pound turkeys like you've stated. We usually plan 1 pound of turkey (bone-in, obviously) per person then I do a couple extra for leftovers. Also with 2 turkeys you'll have 4 drumsticks for any of the kids who want one. If you can, maybe grab and extra package or two of drumsticks for anyone else who wants one.

I’d do two smaller turkeys, as you say, 15 pounds or so. Or one 20 pounder *and* a small ham.

This is what I would do, also starting with the idea of 1 pound per person, plus a bit extra, plus ham.
