Lake Forest College

Lake Forest College was really a hot school for east coast kids when I was applying to colleges. No one in DC really seems to talk about it. I suggested it to my DD and she never heard of it.

I’m from Lake Forest and Lake Forest College is a good, selective, LAC that used to attract Connecticut rich kids. Cool kids.

Gorgeous town and school right on the lake. I hope my youngest considers it.

It's plummeted in terms of prestige and general awareness. I fear it may close in the next decade.

I wonder why? I just looked it up and it’s listed as #37 on the “100 most innovative” college lists.

I’m sad to hear that. I went to Northwestern and visited Lake Forest College a few times. If nothing else, it’s situated on what has to be the most expensive property on the Chicago Northshore.

I agree, it is a little sad. I think it's an amazing location for a liberal arts college. I wonder if Northwestern would ever consider purchasing the campus for some sort of satellite liberal arts campus or something... but that's probably completely unfeasible lol.

I am firm Lake Forest. Only the worst students went to college there and it was not even on their wish lists. No self-respecting person would go there.

I’m from Lake Forest too and that wasn’t my impression at all. I met a lot of students and they all were normal. But no one from LFHS went there.

Did you go to Lake Forest High School or Lake Forest Academy? Approximately when did you graduate?
