Fenugreek: When do you start smelling like maple syrup?

I just started taking yesterday (3 capsules/3 times per day) and don't smell like maple syrup yet... or at least I don't think I do. How did you notice the smell and when did you notice it?

I feel like it was 3-4 days in. But it is unavoidable. You will smell like an IHOP soon.

I have no idea what Fenugreek is, but the idea of smelling like IHOP is hilarious.

Like a PP, it was 3-4 days for me. Unfortunately, it didn't help, but I wish you the best!

I don't know. I took my first dose and my dogs started licking me and never stopped.

I took the pills 3 times a day for at least a month, and also drank the tea, and never smelled like maple syrup. I think it only happens with some people.

OMG I had no idea about this side effect. And my nose is not so good, so I don't think I picked up on it right away. But one day I told my wife I felt like since the baby was born all I could think about was having waffles.

I am taking a lot of fenugreek to try to help with my supply and i read to keep increasing until you smell like maple syrup. I am taking 4 tabs 3x each day and still no smell...It isn't helping with my supply either....should I keep going up?

I never smelled like maple syrup either, and it didn't help my supply. I'm not sure if it is a coincidence or related. I was taking 4 capsules 4x/day at one point, and still no maple syrup smell. I kept asking my husband if he could smell it, thinking maybe I just couldn't smell myself, but there was definitely no smell.

wow, i had no idea this was a side effect. i guess its better than the smell you can get from taking garlic pills.
