APS VA Daily Symptom Screener

Anonymous
Has any APS parent successfully stopped the APSVA Daily Symptom Screener? We consistently get them before 6 a.m., and our Middle School and High School do not ask kids for them. We have 4 kids and 2 phones that receive the text, so 8 texts each morning before 6 a.m..

Kids never get asked for proof, and we do not fill out the survey, so is it time to stop texting parents every single day until something changes with the pandemic?

Yes, just text stop

You can also just silence the notifications. At least you won't get woken up.

Thought about that, but they may need to do them in the future, and might be a hassle to reconnect.

Elderly parents, so always need to have phone and text notifications available.

Thank you. Early a.m. texts hit both phones and tablets.

You can silence that specific phone number.

Don't you have anything better to do than whine about this?

Was thinking of also unsubscribing but wonder if they use that same list for any other school text notifications?

Just silence it.

I stopped when I found out that a family in our school was sending a child to school when another family member had Covid. Obviously the screener isn’t doing any good.

Haven't filled out the screener once, kids have been back since September. I think I blocked it last year when we were homeschooling.

I’m so sick of the damn thing. I’m a teacher, I don’t want to do it, either. It’s meaningless at this point.
