| My neighbor just had a baby and I want to get a gift for the infant and a separate gift for her 16-mo toddler brother so he doesn't feel left out. I am way out of the loop from that age group and can't even remember what capabilities kids that age have. Any suggestions? I'm hoping to find something under $40 for the toddler. Thank you. |

DD is that age and we recently got this nice Duplo set. Its pretty, rolls around and most of all has little lego characters which she loves. Great intro to Legos.

| Board books. |
| A bag with tissue paper. |
| Duplo, doll stroller, megablocks, chunky puzzles are all appropriate for the 16-mo and within your budget. |
Two tissue boxes. My 15 month old will not stop pulling out all the dang tissues. |
+1. And doll strollers are for boys, too! Both of mine love pushing ours! Stick with megablocks, not duplos, for this age, though. |

| Little tiles first slide, for age 18 month ~ 6 years, we had it since the youngest was 2 and he’s 6 now and the slide’s still strong. We keep it for indoor play though. |
| Sorry for typo, it’s little tikes brand. |
| Little People Animal Rescue. Both my kids were obsessed with it at that age and older. |
