monitor locally for ccrm

Has anyone used ccrm? If so, where did you monitor? Is it strange to monitor at a local place, but not use their doctors?

I know someone who monitored locally with SG for a cycle with CCRM. I monitored locally with SG for a with Cornell - it worked fine. They are used to it. One catch is that even if you have insurance SG still makes you pay in full in cash at the time of service (you can try to submit to insurance on your own later). SG charges about $250 for b/w and about $250 for an ultrasound.

Also if you get pregnant, SG's policy is that they will not do early pregnancy sonograms for outside patients. So you might want to touch base with your ob/gyn to see if she/he would do this for you.

Good luck!!!!

I did early monitoring for CRMI/Cornell at GIVF and would NOT recommend it. The u/s & b/w prices were more than double the prices at other local REs (stupid me didn't even ask about prices ahead of time). And the nurses were super biotchy to me & took forever to fax up results. Plus it was really quiet & empty there in the waiting room and it seemed a little creepy...

For just bloodwork I've had better luck at LabCorp.

I'd try SG, Columbia, etc.

I did it at SG, but they kindof gave me a hard time and only let me do it because I was a recent former patient. Columbia didn't want to do it for me. Mausher Center would have happily, although they were farther away. I don't think I checked with Dominion, but they might.

I think that Dominion would do it.

For the early pregnancy ultrasounds I just did those with a local radiology center (Fairfax Radiology) because I was having a hard time getting an RE to help and my OB's u/s machine is a joke.
