IUI timing

I'm on my 2nd IUI cycle-- last time there was 36+ hours between ovidrel trigger and IUI. I assumed this cycle would be the same-- but I received an email today saying to trigger tonight and come in tomorrow for IUI (so 14+ hours apart)...and they didn't respond to my email or call back to my questions...

Is this normal? what is the rationale for switching?

Your hormones are probably rising, suggesting that you're about to ovulate naturally. I've become pregnant off IUIs that triggered one day before and two days before.
