ED Cornell, submit resume or not?

Anonymous
A lot of schools don't ask for or allow resumes, but Cornell gives you the option to upload. Will it be hurting you if you don't upload one assuming most applicants upload? My kid's resume is similar to his activity list and doesn't have much new information.

Resumes are dumb for high school kids. Everything is already on the application.

We developed a resume in advance, but then realized that the application itself has sections that pretty much feature everything that was on the resume.

Can't remember if we went ahead and uploaded it, but I doubt they get read. The information was redundant.

Info is all in the application. Getting tired of all the hoops some schools ask these kids to jump through.

Skip it if it’s redundant

DD did not and is attending.. Good luck.

I plan to submit a resume to those that allow it, because my DC’s school uses SCOIR and it generates a resume automatically, but it does seem redundant.
