Infertility Support and Discussion
I just found out that my estrogen levels a a bit high in my quest to find out why it's taking so long to conceive. Has anyone had success reducing their estrogen levels by changing their diet or banning plastics?
I've heard that low fat diet may reduce excess estrogen.
I think there are few issues regarding high estrogen. First, it is high enough to artificially suppress a high FSH? If so, you are looking at an issue of reduced ovarian reserve, and there is nothing to be done to remedy that. The other is whether you have PCOS, which is similar to reduced ovarian reserve in that many women get fewer good quality embryos when doing IVF, but different in terms of treatment. With PCOS, things like diet change and acupuncture may help - I don't have PCOS, so you'll have to look more into this yourself.
OP here. Most likely a coincidence since it's only been a month but I've been following a low carb, no sugar, no caffeine diet like those suggested in the book "the Fertility Diet" but this morning I got a + HPT. Hopefully it sticks
