Preschool/Daycare in Alexandria/Shirlington/Del Ray

Does anyone have recommendations for preschool/daycare centers in Alexandria area? My daughter is 18 months. Ideally looking for a place offering part time (3 days per week) but finding a very nurturing environment is most important. My daughter has significant stranger danger anxiety.

First Baptist Alexandria has a very highly regarded preschool. I have heard great things about all the teachers.

Just be aware that it’s a childhood weekday “ministry program” so there will be religious elements (God, Bible, Jesus). Important to know that in case it doesn’t align with your own family’s religious views or values.

A lot of the good half-day, part-time programs start at age two and are already full for the year. This is a good list to work from.
