Please be kind- I'm old. I got envelopes (fat v thin) over the course of a few days.
How do kids find out these days? I am assuming via email, but do they come at night presumably so kids don't skip school? Do they all come at one time? Same for ED/EA/Regular? Honestly just curious- TIA |
| There is usually a web portal where the students log in and view new messages from the school. They may get a text or email indicating there's a new message in the portal, and that may or may not give away the content. |

Our DS has received one so far and it was an e-mail to him to check the portal. In there was an acceptance notice. A week later he received an envelope with another congratulations letter and his merit award information. Acceptances/Rejections for the most part come through the student's portal.
Each school has its own notification timeline for each cycle ED/EA/RD. |
| mine had a December 1st notification date but got an acceptance notification on the admissions portal right before thanksgiving |

I find them very intriguing. My favorite part is seeing what their houses look like. I'm weird... |

thank you very much everyone!
I remember that a bunch of kids would drive home from school bc the mail got delivered around noon (I was at a DC private back in the day). Then they'd drive back and within ten minutes everyone knew where they had gotten in. Now that I think about it, I guess I have seen those videos of students finding out if they got in. I guess it never stuck bc it wasn't relevant at the time lol. |
