Yes, its in the Bronx, but the Rose Hill Campus is very nice and there is a lot of security. The campus is right near the Arnold Avenue Little Italy neighborhood. Its also right near the Botanical Gardens and the Bronx Zoo. Strong alumni network, nice, down to earth student body. Good programs, particularly in Business, and its proximity to Manhattan means there are good opportunities. There are regular shuttles to Manhattan, and some undergrad programs at the Lincoln Center location, but that is still mostly known for the arts program, at least for undergrads. Visit it and see if your kid likes it. Admission is easier than Georgetown, Villanova and BC but you have a similar cohort of kids, and there is a lot of overlap among applicants. They give good merit aid.
