You antivaxxers should take a hard look at the Herman Cain awards

I joined reddit just to check it out. It is absolutely mind numbing the endless people dying and the hell their deaths are.

Over and over again they mock the vaccine in their Facebook posts. Then almost to a person they are hit harder than a sledgehammer with covid and have to change their tune to "covid is no joke."

Then there is the crushing debt of their medical bills as their families beg for money on GO Fund Me. And the children they leave behind. Or their children die with them if they are in their 20s or 30s.

Weeks in the hospital, terrible deaths, mountains of debt, wrecked lungs and kidneys. All because they didn't get a simple shot.

These people have convinced themselves that COVID deaths aren’t actually from Covid. You can see it on these boards. They tell themselves lies because the only alternative is to admit they have been led astray by people and sources they trust. For a certain type of person it is easier psychologically to remain in denial than to admit they might be wrong. I feel sorry for them.

I see more people claiming that people say that. I don’t know people who deny COVID.

Consider yourself lucky then. I have some in my own family and certainly among acquaintances. Maybe you live in a bubble.

I have checked out that thread and it is so depressing. At first my thought was “what a bunch of idiots” but then the more I read, the more I felt sorry for those people.

I’ve been following that thread for a while. Most of the time I say bye bye! The common theme is they all pray and say it’s okay because God. They always do admit it’s covid and call it covid pneumonia. A lot of other stories are pictures of vaccine cards and “im withdrawing from the contest”. The only award that made me sad was the baby born with covid whose mother died.

Everyone at the top who comments is pro vax.

There's quite a few people posting that they got vaccinated to decline their "award" so it's doing its job.

Look everyone has to make their own decisions. But I am surprised at the amount of fear.. Vaccine side effect stories are like the woman who posted she thought she thought her herpes flared due to the shot and instead it turns out she got a wrong dx. Many other people are associating unrelated incidents with the shots (and yes that’s how VRS works out of an abundance of cautiion, I get that.)

people are grasping at straws to believe the shots are dangerous despite the studies. Why would you choose to believe a farmers almanac instead of a meteorologist? They simply want to believe it and the unprecedented yellow journalism of the internet gives them plenty of nonsense to build on.

I didn't have a true understanding of how Covid19 can wreck your lungs for good and there is no cure until reading the Herman Cain posts. So even if they live, many of these people are permanently disabled.

Patients loved ones describe their deterioration in great detail in those posts. They are just shocked at what us happening and had no idea how bad it can get. The sick are panicked and have to be sedated to tolerate what is being done to them. It is truly horrifying how quickly it can get out of control.

The obits and farewells and people rushing to bedsides to try to say good bye are heartbreaking.

It's an horrible virus and an ugly unnecessary death. Just get vaccinated. It is easy and offers significant protection for yourself and your loved ones and everyone else's loved ones.
