Chilly dry weather and allergies

Anonymous
As much as I LOVE this kind of fall weather, for some reason the cool, dry air sets my allergies off. It’s not even necessarily seasonal, though I notice it more in the fall than the spring. I don’t notice any correlation with pollen count. It coincides directly with temperature and humidity fluctuations, especially October, when you go from 85 and humid to 50 and dry overnight. I open my door to go for a walk on this gorgeous crisp morning, and ACHOOOOOOOO! Warm humidity like a steamy bath cures it, but then when I get cool and dry I start sneezing again. I also notice it equally indoors as outdoors.

Mold from leaves blowing around in the wind?

Me too. I had a 5 day sinus headache this week. I have no idea why, but this sort of weather (which I otherwise love) always does it.

Do you have a humidifier in your line if you have forced air heat?
