He's been screwing up Metro since he arrived in 2015 and now there's going to be ANOTHER big reduction in service of unknown duration due to mechanical issues with the new railcars. I am SO sick of this crap. Sure, fire Wiedelfeld he hasn’t been good and deserves blame. The problem is that they won’t be able to find anyone competent to succeed him. This transit system is a disgrace decades in the making.

Let’s not pretend that he’s a savior. He only got the job because he got fired as the head of BWI for being incompetent but since the person that fired him was a Republican he got to become head of WMATA as a political consolation prize.

Sure WMATA has improved, but it has also spent billions upon billions for this outcome. He’s been better than his predecessors, but that’s not saying much.
