| My son is at school, undecided, and on a journey to choose a major. Curious to know from this group, if you could study anything in college, what would it be? |
| English Literature. |
I am one of those who have posted on this board about majoring in Philosophy and it going well for me career wise
If I could do anything, I would do American History. It's my favorite subject. I do think Philosophy is a bit easier to defend as relatable to potential careers (the irony!), But I think I could make it work. |
| Psychology |
did that, and it was a huge mistake in the long run. Degree is almost worthless on its own. What I would major in if I could handle it: Cyber-Security Engineering. Lifetime guaranteed employment. |
|
Psychology, anthropology, sociology
|
| Math. Love it, would be happy to just think abstract thoughts and about puzzles all day., then read a little poetry to relax. |
|
Just for my own interest and enjoyment? Sociology. I tend to read a lot of that in my free time.
As a freshman actually looking for making a good living, data science/statistics. I actually minored in stats + business major but would go even more into the quant stuff if I had it to do over. |
| Psychology and would’ve gone on to PhD |
| Is this for enjoyment or an actual career that pays the bills for a desired lifestyle? |
| Art History |
|
Data science.
I would have taken more classes in art history, human sexuality, nutrition, weight lifting, gender studies, and African and Asian history. |
| Right now? Nursing. I would get a BSN then start working towards becoming a nurse practitioner. |
OP here. Probably more the latter. |
History for fun and civic duty. Accounting for interesting jobs. |
