| Shady Grove seems to have the best packages for donor egg. CCRM had limited choices in the database for donors. Does Shady Grove have a good amount of choices for donors? Which clinic is the best for donor egg? |
|
We did frozen donor egg shared risk via SG a few years ago and at the time they had a good pool of donors that fit our requirements.
It will depend on what you're looking for. If you want a rare ethnicity or very particular requirements it may be different. The database also changes quite rapidly and the rarer and more desirable donors get snatched up quickly, sometimes in a matter of hours. |

We went to a clinic across the country to an excellent clinic for the following reasons:
1. It was a fraction of the cost of a donor egg cycle here (even with airline tickets, hotels, etc. included) 2. Lower chance of DC running into a half sibling in the area 3. Found a donor who was willing to do a semi-open donation 4. Donors provided child and adult pictures. 5. Clinic we used had excellent stats We did our monitoring pre and post transfer locally at Dominion who were very easy to work with. |
Which clinic across country did you go to? |
ORM Fertility in Portland, OR Great experience. Since we already had a child at home my husband and I traveled separately for the transfer. We did fresh eggs so he went at retrieval then came home. I flew out a couple of days later for the transfer, stayed overnight and flew home the next day. Dominion and ORM did a great job coordinating. |
